Stuck in the Doldrums...

I remember hearing (kids were watching I was probably cooking or doing some other chore) an episode of The Backyardigans where they were on a ship and were stuck in the "Doldrums", click on the word to see the definition, it is perfect for how I feel.  I feel like I have been stuck in the Doldrums for the past month.  To do this I'm starting a few projects that I have been wanting to do for awhile now.

First- Decorate Preston's room. I  can't decide between the Great White Shark bedding from Company Kids  (Todd say's no stating bad Karma or something have to do with him being a surfer and that Preston will also be surfing.) or this fun Stripped bedding from Land of Nod. If you would like to weigh in please feel free just click on the underlined words to view the bedding.

My other project is to paint the downstairs guest bathroom! A decorator suggested the color so I went with it and never fully convinced myself that I liked it. So it's time for a change. Color still to be determined. But I can say Restoration Hardware is my first stop.

Also I'm doing a mini-makeover on myself. Some new clothes, new nails (meaning manicure and a pedicure) and shoes, definitely shoes.

Let's see if I can work this out and find my way out of the Doldrums. Wish me luck.

I wish you luck Katy! I hate when I get stuck in that 'place.' I bet the decorating and the pampering of 'self' will help!

I've been there SOOOO many times. New clothes and shoes REALLY help. That's usually my first fix. :)
(Aldo has some really cute stuff right now!) As far as the bedding...hmmm...I really like them both but would probably go with the stripes just because you don't have to stick with the shark theme. If you want to change the room around in couple of years the stripped bedding would work with anything. Let's say a...football room??? That might make both of our husbands happy! :) Cute post.

Katy I tried to text you to ask if I stood you up at the hill on Thurs?? I forgot to call and tell you I wouldn't be there. So sorry if you showed up and I didn't!

Katy--nothing that a little running(i.e. 13 miles) won't cure. :) I've been feeling the same way. Let's do a shopping day! I'm leaning towards the stripes (reminds me more of Pres). Enjoy your projects sounds like fun. I love to paint if you need any help.
