Prop 8

I have not posted about Prop 8 but my friends and family know where I have stood throughout this campaign. I have never been so proud as I have been watching my friends and ward members doing what is they have been asked to do. It has strengthened my faith in the Gospel and in the democratic process. I believe strongly that Prop 8 was passed because the people were educated on what the Prop stood for. I have heard countless times that it passed because of "out of state funding" or that "the mormons bought the vote". I do not believe you can buy votes. I believe the money educated the people about what Prop 8 said and what it could mean for the future of our families.

This article was forwarded to me from my friend Tiffany. She received it from her husband with one line, "Silver lining". I thought that summed it up well as you will understand once you read the article called "A Long Strange Trip it Has Been.

And to my friends who do not share my same point of view please read also.

The Sky Is Falling!

No this has nothing to do with the ELECTION today. It is RAINING in SAN DIEGO!!!! My children are amazed and one is in tears. I don't have a rain coat that fits Sydney, so she left for school a sad, sad girl today. I was not prepared for this down pour. Though I should have seen the signs. There were a few sprinkles on Sunday and a short drizzle on Monday, totaling 20 minutes.  We San Diegans don't see to much rain in early November, so I ignored it and kept my flip-flops firmly on.

But today it is pouring and does not look like it will stop this morning.  At least 2 out of 3 of my children are happy. They have rain gear that fits! See the happy children on their way into school.

Dino Preston making his own way into school.

Bella skipping off to school! She was stomping in puddles where ever she could find them.

My carpool kids!

So after the wet morning carpooling and getting 4 children into their classrooms I came home to eat my breakfast. I just bought these new bowls and just love the color. I poured my cereal and added my fruit and went to get a spoon. When I looked back I thought how pretty the bowl looked with the boxes next to it. So I took this picture of my pretty breakfast.

Something to be grateful for during this month of gratitude.

Best Halloween EVER!!

A quote from the kids collectively. We went Trick-or-Treating with our friends from the neighborhood and the kids said last night was the "Best Halloween of Their Lives." I thought that was pretty funny. Here are pictures from Halloween day.

Notice the bare feet! It was 80 degrees at 5:30pm and he was sweating. But that is Halloween in So. Cal.

Sydney as Batgirl, Carolina as a Pink Wonder Woman, and Bella in a more authentic Wonder Woman costume.

Showing us their collective Wilson Supper Hero POWER!

Bella and Sydney at the Ward Trunk-or-Treat party. After collecting 3lbs of candy they kicked back in the trunk and passed out candy.
Go Super Hero's!
