School Field Trips

I love school field trips. I like to use it to spend some quality time with each of my children without their siblings around. Also it's a great time to get to know what your child is like around their friends and teacher. You get to know the other kids in the class better. And some times when your really lucky you get to see the contents of their stomachs and what they would look like in a sharks mouth.

Bella's class had the unique experience of going to a Top Veterinarian hospital in Sorrento Valley. One of her friends in the class has an "In" there. Her parents are Vets. Because the school is right by the Coaster Train station in Solana Beach we just walked down to the station, hopped on a train and were deposited about 1/4 mile from the hospital.
What a ride it was. If you have not taken the Coaster you have really missed out!

Bella asked if she could sit with her friends while I "chit-chatted" with my mom friends.  I complied, didn't want to cramp her style.

If you can't see to clearly or have not had a baby, here is Bella getting an ultrasound on her tummy. We saw the bagel and apple juice from snack time sitting inside.
We also got to see her friend Nicholas's baby brother, who is waiting to be born in the summer. He looked like he was enjoying the trip, sucking his thumb.

A small side trip into a pottery and landscaping yard. Very interesting to the children. The owners saw all the kids there and turned on all the fountains for them!

Field trip number 2 was with Sydney's class to the Birch Aquarium.
Sydney and I had a really nice time together. She sat with me on the bus and was so proud that I was there. We had lunch together and were able to just talk and laugh without interruption. Her friends that were in our group were a lot of fun and so nice to each other. I felt really lucky to be there.

Here is the group I was with. We had a really fun time together. They had a scavenger hunt throughout the aquarium and were very determined to finish it. It proved harder then we expected as some of the displays had changed since the scavenger hunt had been made! First graders take their work VERY seriously.

They loved the shark tank. Wonder if I could get one of those for the house?

HELP!!!

So fun Katy! I'm going on my first field trip with Ellie's preschool in a couple of weeks and I can't wait! So fun to be with them in that environment.

Loved the pictures of Sydney's party. What darling little girls. And I especially loved cute Preston in his "magic hat." :)

At first i thought that Bella threw up on her field trip! Glad it was just an ultrasound!
